The seats that are hardest to fill and hurt most when empty.
Family offices compete with banks, RIAs and private equity for the same accountants. We work only on the finance, tax and operations roles that keep the office running.

Offer and start
We help close the offer and stay in touch through the first 90 days.
Every family office I talk to has the same problem: the person who runs the books is irreplaceable until they leave.
Matt Bennetter founded Family Office Hires after years working with family office CFOs, COOs and controllers on their data, reporting and operations.
That work means knowing what a family office controller actually does all day: consolidating dozens of entities, chasing fund statements, and answering to a principal who expects discretion. That is what we screen for.
We are based in Boston and search across the US, with most work in New York, Florida, Texas and New England.
Before you start a search
How do you keep a search confidential?
Client names are never published or shared with candidates until both sides agree. Candidates sign a confidentiality agreement before they hear who the family is.
What does it cost?
Retained and contingent fees are a percentage of first-year base salary, and interim accountants are billed hourly. We share our fee terms on the first call.
What if the hire doesn't work out?
If a permanent hire leaves within 90 days, we run the search again at no extra fee.
Do you work with multi-family offices?
Yes. We also place staff with multi-family offices and wealth firms serving ultra-high-net-worth families.
I'm a candidate. Should I get in touch?
Yes. If you are an accountant, tax professional or operator who wants to move into a family office, send us a note and your CV. We never share your details without asking first.
Tell us about the role.
A short note is enough. We reply within one business day.
